Comedy Nights With Kapil' now once a week ?

One of the most popular faces on Indian television—comedy king Kapil Sharma got all the recognition and fame through his hit show, 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'. It became a platform for all the Bollywood stars to promote their films and at the same time interact with the fans directly.However, with the onslaught of new year—there was a 'not-so-good' news for the followers. The famous comedy show has cut down on its episodes, from twice a week to once a week. Reports suggest that from January onwards, this shall be the trend, as Kapil needs to devote time for his Bollywood debut.Reason behind Kapil's show going once a week is probably because he has started shooting for director duo Abbas-Mustan's film. Also, there are reports suggesting that due to time constraint, the maverick funnyman was unable to give his creative inputs in the show. Therefore, the quality of the content has suffered.

Although, no official statement has been made in this regard, either by Kapil or by the makers as yet.

'Dolly Ki Doli': Sonam Kapoor and team laugh out loud on 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'!

Film promotions these days form an integral part of marketing strategies ahead of any release. Similarly, none would want to lose out an opportunity, where their film could be best talked about. Comedy king Kapil Sharma's show 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' is one such platform.

After a bevy of stars have graced the stage, it was now filmmaker Arbaaz Khan's turn to come up on the show for promoting 'Dolly Ki Doli' with entire star cast. While lead actress Sonam has featured on the comedy show earlier for her other films, it is for the first time that Arbaaz will be seen laughing his way out.

Star comedian Kapil Sharma's New Year resolution is to get legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar to be part of his hit show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’, where megastar Amitabh Bachchan, superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and several of the young brigade of actors have made an appearance.Kapil took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share his resolution and even invited requests from fans for his wish to become a reality.

"My resolution n dream for 2015... I want @mangeshkarlata @sachin_rt AN @SrBachchan sahib again.. It's up to u people.. Pls send requests..," Kapil tweeted Monday.

In response to his tweet, Kapil received several requests from people who expressed a desire to see the two legends on ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’.

'Tevar' team to visit 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'

PETA thanks Kapil Sharma for compassion towards animals

People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) staff will make an appearance on "Comedy Nights With Kapil" to thank its host Kapil Sharma and his crew for their compassion towards animals.
Kapil, a star stand up comedian, himself has an adopted dog named Zanjeer. Also, in 2013, when the sets of TV show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" had caught fire, the crew had rescued four stray puppies from there.

A believer in encouraging people to adopt homeless dogs from shelters and streets, Kapil says it's a cause close to his heart.

"Always choose to adopt your companion cat or dog. Remember that there is already one on the street or at an animal shelter waiting for his or her chance for a better life," he said in a statement.

A group of 10 representatives of PETA went to the set of the show to applaud Kapil's compassion towards animals.

Sachin Bangera, PETA India manager (media and celebrity projects), who spoke to Kapil during the episode to be aired Sunday, told IANS: "When celebrities talk about issues, people tend to listen to them. Celebrities from the world of entertainment have a whole lot of impact on people and they give a boost to campaigns, and especially issues related to animals."
